In a recent interview, JK Rowling admitted that she wished that Harry and Hermoine get together instead of Ron and Hermoine.
To which I say...DUH.
It wasn't just the movies and the chemistry of Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson but also while reading Joanne's writing, you just see that they both have more chemistry than Ron and Hermoine could ever have.
I could clearly see Ron having a thing for her and a love growing within but I never could never see him truly making her happy. Even while reading the later books, Ron and Hermoine's relationship felt forced and horseshoed into the series at the last minute.
Oh well, live and learn.

A Wonderful Tribute
As many people know along the net, Justin Carmical of Channel Awesome, committed suicide on January 23rd.

It's always shocking when someone takes their own life.
The video shows a lot of his work but what really caught my attention was the very end when he's pouring his heart out to the camera, to the net, to the world. He says some wonderful things that come straight from his heart. This shows that he was an emotional man who had a lot to share and wanted to bond with those who who might also be hurting deep down.
"You're not stupid, you're not an idiot. Don't ever tell yourself that you are."
Thanks for those words, Justin. You chose to share something good with this world and that's always better than spreading hate.

Morgalla Inspiration: Mrs. Brisby
In 1982, Don Bluth made one of the greatest animated films of all time: The Secret of NIMH.
Hailed by many, the film has a fan following that spans now over three decades. Bluth made a movie that was entertaining for children and yet smart enough for adults to enjoy. Sure the movie has talking mice, but at no point to they sing and at times the film can be rather dark. For 1982, an animated film such as this is unheard of. To my knowledge, it didn't do too well at the box office, but thanks to cable TV, it turned into a classic.
Mrs. Brisby is the main protagonist who faces titanic elements against her; whether it be a farmer's plow, her child's illness, an owl who might eat her, the list goes on.
She's often afraid, even terrified, but she'd be a fool if she wasn't. She knows quite often that she's in danger but it's for the love of her family that she moves ahead. That's a sign of true courage: knowing that there is danger but facing it anyway.
Besides her children, she's the smallest character. This only adds to the dread when you think about it. Morgalla also happens to be surrounded by demons that dwarf her in size.

But she never lets it stop her. The biggest difference in the personalities between the mouse and the demon is that Morgalla has to act tough every moment of her life. Show any weakness in Hell...and you're done.
The biggest element they share is the fact that despite overwhelming odds, despite even being afraid, they find a way to get the job done.

So...
Ben Affleck is Batman...and the geek world is all abuzz.
I have one little bit of advice for Ben. As a fan of Batman, the one thing that I loathed about Christian Bale's performance was his horrific growling voice. Seriously, it sounded like he was trying to cough up gravel.
But still...
Ben...start working NOW on a voice that sounds acceptable. Hell, even Kevin Conroy's first tries were a little weak, but soon he was awesome and has become THE voice of the bat.
I'm not going to judge. He's capable of doing a great performance or a poor one. I'll reserve my opinion on that until I actually see him in action.
Hell, Chris Evans has played two super heroes and he's awesome as Captain America. Maybe this will work.
